Now that due has given to frost, And joy of the sun a distant touch That lingers yet despite what cost-- Farewell the love I sought so much.
To walk is not work, yet no stroll Is taken in this worse season, For fair love’s dreams take bitter toll When thoughts drift without fair reason.
