Note: all decisions of editors and judges are final.  Any published composition will, in the minds of editors, be of at least passing quality for a college level class.  Par Excellence upholds the First Amendment and does not censor student ideas and works.  However, we do follow the Supreme Court policies governing obscenity and pornography.  U.S. courts have held as obscene works which, taken as a whole, appeal to base or prurient interests, utterly lacking in literary, artistic, or scientific merit.
